Back in 2007 I asked the DBJ editor if I could create a new digital marketing column given its rising importance to local business leaders.

He agreed and I still serve as the exclusive contributor to this column. His only guidelines were to 1) write for a senior-level audience (i.e. simplify complex topics and provide business implications) and 2) provide specific tips on how to execute–not just theory.
